A year or so ago I was asked by Leica if they could use some of my wedding gallery to represent their brand worldwide. Leica are arguably the world’s most prestigious and perhaps luxury camera company. We made a short film together and it was a huge success globally. You can watch it here.

Quality, style, simplicity, longevity.

Working often as a videographer I’ve been fortunate enough to work alongside hundreds of other photographers over the years. Some of the world’s best and some of the world’s worst. It’s allowed me to learn a huge amount, but also avoid the widespread cookie cutter approach to wedding photography that accommodates 99% of the wedding industry.

With every year that passes, we seem to be heading further away from authentic, hand crafted images. Weird filters, artificial Intelligence and cheap presets are more dominant than ever.

We’re accepting a false version of quality by adopting new technology to capture images. Tech that doesn’t require much level of human skill. Most wedding photographers I know these days are using artificial intelligence to select and edit their client’s images. They’ll grab 10,000 images and send them off to a robot to do the rest.

Maybe I’m just getting older but I don’t want to dance the same dance. I want human decisions to be at the forefront of my work .

I want to embrace the classic but create something stylish that works just as well today as it will when your great grandchildren are enthralled with the images in 50 or 60 years time.
