HOW THIS WORKS

We Shoot

Relaxed with Subtle Direction we’ll take an editorial style portrait of your guests individually. Professionally lit with a choice of studio backgrounds, we’ll work to capture their unique personalties on camera, away from the glare of the main event.

We Edit and Curate your Collection

One of our professional re-touchers will select your best images and apply a number of very subtle edits. This typically happens out of site so guests are unaware of what’s going on behind the scenes.

We Print

We print your guest portraits on-site using the finest museum quality German fine-art photo stock. Our paper isn’t your usual run-of-the-mill glossy rubbish, It’s like holding a work of art in your hands.

We Exhibit

This is the Wow moment! Typically we attend your farewell breakfast or brunch event and display each of your prints as a complete surprise to your guests. The reactions at this point always blow us away and it’s what makes us truly unique.

We Gift

What makes this whole service special is that guests are invited to take their prints home as a personal gift from the happy couple (or event organiser). We can also match the prints with some luxury protective stationary complete with your own branding if you like.

We Follow Up.

In the days following the event we contact every one of your guests with a personal thank you message We offer access to the entire online gallery along with personalised downloads of their complete individual photography session.

QUESTIONS?

So you’re not our main Wedding Photographer right?

Absolutely not! Our service runs completely independently to your existing Photographer or Videographer. Although we can offer this if you like.

What events do you shoot?

Obviously mainly Weddings, however our portraiture service works at any kind of event. We’ve shot at awards ceremonies, Christmas parties and launch events. Basically anywhere there’s a gathering of people.

Can you shoot our rehearsal event?

Yes, of course. It’s typical for us to shoot at the rehearsal dinner and then either exhibit the images on the actual wedding day or at a goodbye breakfast or brunch event.

Can we choose the backdrop?

Yes, we offer a couple of different options depending on your tastes and the space we have. Typically you can choose between our signature etherial style or a more clean cut white or dark grey paper back drop.

Do you only print in Black and White?

For the physical prints – Yes! However every photograph is taken as a RAW file which means we can convert the image later for you if required.

How many prints will we receive?

Throughout a typical four hour session we can generally shoot, edit and print around 50+ images. This can be higher sometimes but we don’t like to make promises we can’t keep. For events with greater numbers we suggest booking multiple sessions or splitting the portraits over a few days. If it’s volume you’re looking for then maybe consider our ‘shoot only’ package.

Where / When can we display the Prints?

Over the years we’ve used so many different display set ups. It really depends on what works for you and your event. We can display the images as soon as they come from the printer on a constant rotation or we can save them up and reveal them all as a surprise. We can hang the prints outdoors, display them on a wall in a more formal gallery style or they can simply be laid out on a table for guests to collect.

What size are the Prints?

We typically print the portraits at A4 size.

Can we choose packaging?

Yes, of course. It’s typical for us to work with your stationer to provide a luxury branded protective folder. This isn’t a necessity but it certainly adds to the gift experience.

What Paper do you use?

We use the highest museum quality fine art paper available. We ship our paper from Germany and you can choose from a glossy finish or a more elegant textured matte card stock. The paper alone feels like you’re holding a work of art!!

Do you offer a ‘Shoot Only’ Option?

Yes, we do. It’s sometimes not practical or affordable to include the editing and printing on site and for this reason we’re happy to offer a ‘photography only’ package.

Can we use props like a Photo Booth?

We’d rather you didn’t. We work in a very particular way to give you a really elegant product. Bringing in signs, props, glitter doesn’t really work with what we do, sorry.

Can we book multiple sessions?

Yes, if you need more than our typical 4 hour shoot then we can either extend the session or run multiple sessions across a few days.

What happens to the other images you take?

Every guest receives one image that we carefully select on site however we take up to 5 or 6 images on the day. Although we won’t edit these initially we offer a full edit service post event where we can provide absolutely everything completely edited and colour converted if preferred..

Do you offer Books / Albums?

Yes, of course. We offer a selection of Luxury fine-art books and Parent / Family Albums.
